LFV informs about camera surveillance
LFV uses camera surveillance to monitor the areas around Kiruna Airport, Åre Östersund Airport and Umeå Airport.
Camera surveillance at these airports is carried out to enable LFV Group to operate air traffic services remotely from the control centre RTC Stockholm. LFV also implements sound recording at the five airports. However, sound recording takes place in a limited area within the airport area.
Surveillance aims to prevent, avoid or detect accidents and to limit the effects of accidents. LFV conducts camera surveillance in accordance with Section 8 of the Camera Surveillance Act (Kamerabevakningslagen) (2018:1200). At locations where LFV Group conducts camera surveillance with fixed cameras, the Group informs about this through clear signage in accordance with the Camera Surveillance Act.
